Bill Killough
Bill Killough is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church. He holds master's degrees from Texas Tech University and Texas Christian University, as well as an undergraduate degree from Tarleton State University. With over 35 years of pastoral experience Bill has served as a church pastor, military chaplain, and hospital chaplain in Fort Worth, Azle, Hawaii, South Korea, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
During his 30-year military career as an infantryman and chaplain, Bill spent over 32 months in combat zones, to include Kuwait and Iraq, and culminated his service as the Command Chaplain for U.S. Forces in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his service in Iraq and is a Master-rated parachutist, having served more than seven years on airborne status. He also served as the Pacific area Chaplain Personnel Manager responsible for chaplain assignments in Korea, Alaska and Hawaii. Bill served with various combat units, including the 75th Ranger Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, and the 3rd Infantry Division.
In addition to his pastoral and military service, Bill is an accomplished author. His works include Trauma as a Tool for Mentoring & Spiritual Direction in The Army Chaplaincy, and Acknowledging Spiritual Dynamics During Trauma Care in Topics on Emergency Medicine.
Bill is married to Holly, a certified Math and Science teacher, and the current Director of the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance. Together, they have two sons, their spouses, and four grandchildren.
Bill currently serves as the Mid-Texas Cabinet Officer, the Presiding Elder for Parker, Palo Pinto, and Young counties, and is the Senior Pastor of Silver Creek Methodist Church in Azle.
